SuRIA Home is a one-time government cash rebate of RM600 per kWac, up to RM3,000, for homes that install solar under Solar ATAP. You need to be a Malaysian citizen with a TNB domestic account, you must not have received the earlier SolaRIS rebate, and your system has to be commissioned by 31 December 2026. It is first come, first served. There is no separate form to fill in: TNB emails eligible customers and pays the rebate into their bank account. SuRIA Home replaces the SolaRIS rebate, which has closed.

Solar ATAP (Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme) is the rooftop solar programme for new installations since 1 January 2026. It replaced Net Energy Metering (NEM). Your home uses its own solar power first, which is where most of the saving comes from. Anything extra goes to the grid and comes back as a credit against the energy charge on that month's bill. Credits do not carry over to the next month, so the system should be sized to your daytime use. A home on single-phase supply can install up to 5 kW, three-phase up to 15 kW.
