Privacy Notice — SolarKita Solar Panel Installation
This notice says what personal data the SolarKita website and our WhatsApp conversations collect, what we do with it, and what you can ask of us. It is written to meet Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Who we are
SolarKita is the solar panel installation brand of Encik Beku Aircond Sdn. Bhd. In this notice, "we" means that company. You reach us on WhatsApp through the buttons on this site.
What you send us
When you message us on WhatsApp or ask for a site assessment, we receive what you send:
- your name and phone number
- the address, or the state, of the property
- your TNB bill, which shows how much electricity you use
- photos of your roof, and what you tell us about your home
We use it to answer you, design a system, prepare a quotation, submit the Solar ATAP application, and carry out the installation and the maintenance after it.
What the website collects by itself
The site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to count visits and to see which pages are read and which WhatsApp buttons are clicked. Google Signals is on, so Google may combine this with data from visitors signed in to a Google account, in aggregated reports we cannot trace to a person.
A Google Ads conversion records that a WhatsApp button was clicked, so that we can measure our advertising. Webcore, the service that picks the WhatsApp number behind each button, records the page and the click.
These tools use cookies and similar identifiers. None of them gives us your name.
Who sees your data
Your details are seen by our sales and installation team and by the parties an installation needs: TNB and SEDA for the Solar ATAP application and the meter, the makers whose warranty is registered in your name, and our financing partners if you ask about financing. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
Records of a quotation or an installation are kept for as long as the warranty runs and the law's record-keeping rules require. If you contacted us and no installation followed, you can ask us to delete the conversation.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you may ask what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, withdraw your consent to marketing messages, and ask for data we no longer need to be deleted. Message us on WhatsApp and we will reply.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site still works. Google's own settings for ads and analytics are at adssettings.google.com and tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Changes to this notice
We update this notice when the tools or the law change. The date of the latest version is shown at the top.
